Rare spirits, sourced quietly.
Not every bottle belongs in public view.
Cloakroom Reserve records selected open and completed searches undertaken for our members and private clients. These are not conventional product listings. They are snapshots of the quieter side of rare spirits acquisition: the search, the provenance, the allocation pathway, the story behind the bottle, and the reason it belongs in a particular collection.
From vintage single malt Scotch whisky to rare Cognac, family casks, private allocations and globally restricted releases, each request reflects the kind of work Cloakroom Reserve was created to undertake…… discreet sourcing for collectors, enthusiasts and private clients who value access, context and stewardship.
Some requests remain in progress. Others have been completed and placed into private cellars. In each case, the purpose is the same: to document exceptional bottles, explain why they matter, and offer a glimpse into the process behind acquiring spirits that rarely sit in plain sight.

Background Info
The rare spirits market is not always visible from the outside. Many of the most significant bottles never reach a public shelf, a standard retail catalogue or an open online store. They move quietly through trusted relationships, private client networks, supplier allocations, specialist brokers and long-standing collector circles.
Cloakroom Reserve exists to help members navigate that world with discretion.
A sourcing request may begin with a specific bottle, vintage, cask number, birth year, anniversary, collection gap, investment objective or personal milestone. From there, our role is to assess the request, identify possible pathways, consider provenance and suitability, and help determine whether the bottle belongs in the member’s collection.
For rare whisky and collectible spirits, the story is often as important as the liquid itself. Age, vintage, distillery, maison, cask type, release size, condition, packaging, allocation history and chain of custody all contribute to the significance of a bottle. A 49-year-old Glenfiddich family cask and a LOUIS XIII Rare Cask do not simply represent luxury. They represent time, patience, scarcity and the judgement of those who preserved them.
This page brings those stories together.
It is part journal, part archive, part private cellar record. It allows members and prospective members to understand the nature of our work without reducing rare spirits to a simple transaction.
