Catalogue Preview
LOUIS XIII Mathusalem presents the house’s Grande Champagne cognac in a monumental 6-litre crystal decanter.

Overview
The Mathusalem represents LOUIS XIII at its most expansive, translating the house style into a format reserved for ceremonial presentation and long stewardship.

The Spirit
Produced by Rémy Martin in Cognac, LOUIS XIII is composed exclusively of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, the region’s premier cru. These eaux-de-vie are aged over decades in historic Limousin oak tierçons and continually reassembled by successive Cellar Masters to preserve the house profile. The Mathusalem contains the same cognac as the Classic decanter, bottled at 40% ABV, presented here at a 6-litre scale.

Why It Matters
The Mathusalem format reflects the continuity at the core of LOUIS XIII: a blend conceived generations in advance, expressed through craftsmanship that spans viticulture, distillation, maturation, and crystal artistry. The decanter’s design traces back to a 16th-century flask discovered near Jarnac, anchoring the expression in both regional and historical context.

Serving & Context
Intended for formal service and shared occasions, the accompanying pipette reflects traditional cellar practices, allowing controlled presentation without haste.
