A Grande Champagne cognac presented in the LOUIS XIII Jeroboam, shaped by centuries of maturation and generational blending.
Overview
LOUIS XIII: The Jeroboam represents the same enduring cognac expression as the Classic decanter, translated into a larger ceremonial format. It reflects the continuity of style established in the late 19th century, where time and stewardship remain the defining elements.
The Spirit
Produced by Rémy Martin under the LOUIS XIII name, the cognac within the Jeroboam is composed exclusively of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, the premier cru of the Cognac region. Selected and blended by successive Cellar Masters since 1874, these eaux-de-vie are matured slowly in old French oak tierçons. Bottled at 40% ABV, the liquid mirrors the established LOUIS XIII profile, distinguished only by its presentation and scale.
Why It Matters
The Jeroboam format underscores the long horizon inherent to LOUIS XIII, where each release represents decisions made decades earlier. It highlights the role of generational knowledge transfer in maintaining a consistent aromatic and structural identity across time.
Serving & Context
Best approached with restraint and intention, allowing the cognac’s maturity and balance to present naturally, particularly in shared or formal settings.
Availability Note
Presented in individually numbered, hand-crafted crystal decanters produced in limited quantities, with distribution subject to allocation and release cycles.
